25th anniversary of the Foundation
25th anniversary of the Foundation
For its 25th anniversary, the Fondation Nestlé pour l’Art decided to work on its archives in order to promote them and cast a light on the numerous supported projects. To do this, the Foundation forged close links with three art schools in Switzerland: ECAL – Ecole d’art cantonale of Lausanne, Hochschule Luzern Design & Kunst, as well as CEPV – Centre d’enseignement professionnel of Vevey, whose students reinterpreted, each in their own way and according to their discipline, the Foundation’s chosen archives. From this artistic commitment over several years was born a unique work published by Edizioni Periferia.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary allowed the Foundation to turn its gaze on its rich history in the first volume introducing the work of the students. Meticulous and exhaustive work has thus been carried out over the 25 years of activity of the Foundation with the help of Matthieu Jaccard, architect and independent art historian. On June 6, 2016, the Fondation Nestlé pour l’Art included its jubilee in the various major events organized in Vevey to mark the 150th anniversary of Nestlé. To celebrate this anniversary, the Jenisch Museum generously opened its doors to the Foundation, welcoming around a hundred guests made up of former and current partners of the Foundation as well as actors from the world of art and culture who came as neighbors. Wishing to mark the event, the Foundation mandated the atelier oï à la Neuveville to create “Diapasoï”, a sound installation symbolizing the three artistic fields supported by the Foundation.
