Claudia Jolles studied art history, archeology and German literature from 1979 to 1984 at the Universities of Bern, Geneva and Zurich. In 1985 she worked on Ilya Kabakov’s exhibition “On the Margin” at the Kunsthalle Bern. Since 1989 she has worked as a curator and independent art critic for various media. Since 1996 she has been editor-in-chief of the Kunstbulletin. Claudia Jolles was an expert in the field of the Visual Arts at the Fondation Nestlé pour l’Art from 1998 to 2006.
